short version…. flight took off on time. went out about an hour. Pilot comes on PA, tells us we’re turning around, back to San Francisco. Problem with plane, but not safety problem, so we’re not falling out of the sky. So why not just keep going?? figure it out in Chicago. plane load of happy customers instead of plane load of really, really pissed off customers. talked with two women going to Chicago for a wedding today. the obviously aren’t gonna make it, so they canceled whole trip, called bride and told her not coming. all done with American.

lots of people going home to chicago, but lots going there to go somewhere else….like us.

we can’t get out today or tomorrow…until tomorrow night…4 first class seats. so bad…basically miss a day and a half of our itinerary/tours. So, we’re on a 7:30pm tomorrow that goes to Heathrow, then on to Rome . well, that’s all for now.
